We have learned how to identify the four major parts of fiction books- the characters, setting, problem (conflict), and resolution. Each of us created a character and then drew a setting (where and when) and placed that character in it. Later, we thought of a problem our character might face and how that problem might be resolved. When your child reads at home, ask him/her to identify these parts of a story. Use the magnifying glass in the slide show below to read each story map.
