After we ate Pirate Parfaits (yogurt with blueberry cannonballs), we listened to two fun stories about pirates. In No Pirates Allowed, the pirate discovered that the greatest treasure of all is books! We are so excited that Mrs. Duncan donated the books to our class.

We celebrated Cinco De Mayo during the Parent Spot.

The Sacca family own three Smoothie Kings located in Alpharetta, Crabapple, and Cumming.  While we tasted a variety of fruit, we learned where it is grown.  Then Mr. Sacca made us delicious strawberry smoothies.

Pam shared the story of Sinter Klaas and Christmas traditions of the Netherlands. On December 5th, children leave their shoes out for Sinter Klaas to fill with gifts. The children placed their shoes in front of the fireplace and were surprised to find treats in them at the end of our Parent Spot. Candy was also hiding around the border of the fireplace and the children enjoyed traditional treats with hot chocolate.  What fun to learn about Christmas around the world!

We had another musical dad share his talents with us. I think the dads need to form a band! The monkey bread afterwards was delicious too. Thanks goes out to the Baurs!
