Blessings
The Lower School had a special dress down day to celebrate God’s provisions over KRCS. Through the generosity of KRCS families and partnering donors, we achieved our goal to raise $10 million to build the new High School.
With God, all things are possible! (Matthew 19:26) The Ground Blessing will be held this Friday.

Mrs. Yeska
We celebrated Mrs. Yeska’s retirement at chapel. She taught in Dekalb Public Schools for 30 years before she was a founding KRCS staff member 11 years ago. Paula has been my partner in second grade for six years, so preparing to honor her was a labor of love. I recorded 15 of our former students that are currently in third through fifth grade. They shared favorite memories that made her laugh and cry. My current class made her a book that expressed why we think she is so awesome and the school presented her with a beautiful plant for her garden. She will be celebrated further at our staff luncheon. Leave Mrs. Yeska a comment to tell her how much she is appreciated by you.
If I could Teach You Teacher
If I could teach you, teacher,
I’d teach you how much more
you have accomplished
than you think you have
I’d show you the seeds
you planted years ago
that are now coming into bloom.
I’d reveal to you the young minds
that have expanded under your care,
the hearts that are serving others
because they had you as a role model.
If I could teach you, teacher,
I’d show you the positive effect
you have had on me and my life.
Your homework is
to know your value to the world,
to acknowledge it, to believe it.
Thank you, teacher.

Another Great Series
I have four different reading groups each reading a different novel. One of the groups is reading a novel in the Capital Series by Ron Roy. He also wrote A to Z Mysteries. This would be another fun series to read this summer. The children will learn all about our nation’s capital as they follow the adventures of KC and Marshall.
