Tie Dye Shirts

What a fun and creative way to make tie-dye shirts. The children colored shirts with sharpies and then we dropped rubbing alcohol on them to give the shirts a tie-dye look. Thanks, Kimberly for planning a fun and creative Parent Spot!

Lent

Looking for something to give up for Lent? I love these ideas!

Give up resentment and become more forgiving.
Give up hatred and return good for evil.
Give up complaining and be more grateful.
Give up pessimism and become more hopeful.
Give up worry and become more trusting.
Give up anger and become more patient.
Give up pettiness and become more noble.
Give up gloom and become more joyful.
Give up doubt and turn to God.

Aliens

I connected our study of space with reading and writing. For our culminating Space Unit activity, we read Here Come the Aliens. After we created our own alien, we filled in the missing adjectives and nouns in a mad lib.  We used thesauruses to find interesting adjectives. We were surprised at how adjectives can change a story. You’ll definitely want to come down our hallway for a closer look at this project!
