Class Poet

The children really enjoyed our poetry unit and I am finding poems in their journals. These poems are by Laken.

New Restaurant

One of our own is opening a restaurant soon. During the Parent Spot, we learned the steps to plan, design, and build a new restaurant. It was a great lesson and the children had lots of questions. We were all grateful for the T shirts and coupons too!

The Peach and the Porkchop will be a farm to table restaurant that will serve fresh, healthy food for everyone in your family. Locally supplied foods will be available each day, along with unique chef creations.” It is located at 12040 Etris Road. Be sure to visit them on Facebook.

Multiplication

Learning cursive and multiplication are two of the milestones to which the students look forward. Although I introduced multiplication months ago during our morning equations, I have given direct instruction recently on multiplication vocabulary, concepts, and properties. The video below is a great review.

Postcard Update

We only need 16 more states!

When we receive a postcard, we highlight it on our list of states and color the state on our maps. Each region is a different color. Next, we look at the abbreviation and the capital of each state. Do you know someone in one of the other states? Please ask him/her to send us a postcard.
